Gateway House Bed & Breakfast - Didcot

Clean and the staff was friendly. We booked double room in 4 bedrooms and could use wake-up service, available in it. A dishwasher, tea/coffee making equipment and refrigerators were a nice touch. Its location was great and unbeatable close to bus stops. Greatly enjoyed our stay there and would love to go back.

The room was comfortably furnished with a cozy ambiance. The garden view was particularly pleasant.

The noise from other guests was unacceptable.

I appreciated the very comfortable bed and enjoyed exploring the nearby Didcot Railway Centre, just a short walk away. The local eateries were conveniently close for an evening meal, allowing me to fully enjoy my weekend in the area. As a solo traveler, I found the overall cleanliness and self-service breakfast options quite satisfying.

The room featured a unique outdoor patio. The location offered decent connectivity to nearby attractions and local eateries.

A shared bathroom setup caught me off guard. The hot water system in the bathroom was oddly set up. You had to pull a chute from the ceiling for power, confusing and not explained beforehand. Dirty carpets, rusty toilet brushes, and a subpar breakfast consisting mainly of pre-packaged pastries left a lot to be desired for the price paid.

I enjoyed my stay here with friends, as the location was perfect for exploring the nearby parks and visiting a local brewery. The fast WiFi was a great help for planning our outings. the bathroom could use some repairs, as there was mould and a broken toilet seat, which was a bit disappointing.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the cozy conservatory where I had breakfast and the easy access to the kitchen to make tea whenever I wanted. The outdoor garden area was perfect for unwinding after a long day, and I loved the chance to relax in the peaceful surroundings. One small issue was the heating that was cranked up too high upon arrival, but it didn't spoil my overall experience. 😊

The location was awesome, super quiet yet close to the center-easy walk to pubs and shops. Our room was great, comfy and had a nice street view. Enjoyed breakfast in the outdoor dining area too. Just wish the Wi-Fi was a bit faster, kinda slow at times.

The Beautiful Double Room impressed with its spacious layout and tasteful furnishings. Access to the kitchen was a major plus, great for convenient tea-making and meal prep. The cleanliness was really good, with attention to detail evident throughout the facilities. The lack of dining options nearby for Japanese food was noticeable and could be improved.

Philippe's kindness was truly heartwarming! He made my stay feel like home despite being stranded in Didcot. The room was comfy, but the shared bathroom could use a little TLC. 😊
